Questions and Answers

Short answers to what people ask us most. If your question is not here, write to sales@smartcases.site.

What does Smart Cases make?

Flightcases and specialised cases for audio, lighting, video, DJ and musical equipment: rack cases, DJ coffins, mixer and keyboard cases, road trunks, screen and projector cases, workstations and drawer cases, and custom cases for any other equipment. Every case is made to order.

Do you sell ready-made cases from stock?

Cases are made to order. Catalogue records distinguish past builds from example configurations. Loose parts are supplied on request, and their availability and price are confirmed by the team. A catalogue entry is not a promise of stock.

How do I get a price?

Send a quote request or use the configurator. Give the make and model of the equipment, or its measurements, the number of cases and how the case will travel. We reply by email with questions or a quote. Prices are not listed because every case is different.

What information should I send?

The exact make and model, the outside dimensions in millimetres including anything that sticks out, the weight, how the case travels (car, van, truck or plane), how you use the equipment on site, the quantity and when you need it. Photos and a rough sketch help.

Can you build a case for equipment that is not in the catalogue?

Send the equipment model, measurements, weight and photos. The team checks the requirements and confirms a suitable construction in the quote. The catalogue is a starting point, not a complete list of every possible custom project.

Can the equipment work without taking it out of the case?

A case can be designed with removable lids, doors or access panels so suitable equipment can be used in place. Tell us about the connectors, ventilation, heat and working clearances your equipment needs. The team checks the arrangement before manufacture.

Which options can I choose?

Depending on the case, the specification may include panels, finish, handles, catches, wheels, foam, dividers, drawers or shelves. The configurator offers the options supported by the selected construction. Send other requirements in the quote request; the team confirms materials, hardware and feasibility.

Can you put our logo on the case?

Yes, a logo or a label can go on the case. Mention it in the quote request.

Do you make several identical cases?

Yes. Give the number of cases in the request. Identical cases can be made with the same outside size, so they stack in the truck.

Do you supply flightcase parts?

Yes. The Spare Parts category lists handles, catches and latches, hinges and lid stays, corners, castors and castor dishes. Send the part, required size or a reference photo, and quantity. The team confirms fit, availability, price and delivery.

Are the photos on the website real?

Past-build pages, example configurations and supplied parts are labelled separately. A photo of an example case shows the type of construction, not proof of that exact completed customer order. Illustrations are not photographs of manufactured products. Part pages identify when an image shows the exact part. Some products have no published photo.

Where is Smart Cases based?

Smart Cases (SMART CASES EOOD, UIC 109598404) is registered in Kyustendil, Bulgaria.

How do I start the 3D configurator?

Open Design Your Own. The configurator opens immediately and asks you to sign in or create a profile using an email code. New registrations currently require access from Bulgaria and a Bulgarian telephone number. You can read the public configurator guide or send a standard quote request without using the configurator.

Does an AI design or submitted configuration confirm my order?

No. AI descriptions, measurements, images and configurations are starting points that must be checked. Sending a configuration is an enquiry. The team confirms the final specification, price, production and delivery terms separately; the website does not take online payments.

Ready to start?

Send us the make and model or the measurements, and we reply with a quote. Or design the case yourself in the configurator.
